April 15th, Panama Canal

We took the tour to the Embera Indian Village. Our guide Daniel was one of the best we've ever experienced. During the bus ride on the way to Chagres National Park, he taught us the history of Panama, the culture of the Embera Indians and he also showed us various fruits and vegetation native to the country. The Embera Indians have been able to maintain their traditions and lifestyle as it was before the Spaniards colonized the region.

A long ride aboard a dugout canoe on Lake Alajuela.

Embera Indians welcome us to their village.
