April 19th, Cozumel, Mexico

At 0638 Coral Princess passed around Punta Molas, the most northern tip of Cozumel and a south-westerly heading was set. We rounded the north western point of the island before setting a southerly course toward our berth. At 0756 we embarked our local pilot, and with the aid of his local knowledge, we berthed the ship, being all fast by 0906.
Weather conditions: Mostly cloudy with sunny spells.
Wind: Easterly Beaufort Force 5. Temperature 26C/79F.
Noon Position: Alongside -- Cozumel

Tom and The Coral Princess.

We went on the Columbia and Palancar Reef Snorkel on the Manta Catamaran. Can't honestly say that I recommend this excursion. Though the crew was capable and friendly, the catamaran reeked of the marine toilets and empty cardboard boxes smelled like stale beer. One of our fellow passengers had a near-death experience while snorkelling and the trip was cut short so that we might drop him at a nearby pier to be treated by paramedics.

These little jellyfish released a substance that gave us a poison ivy-like rash.
