April 20th, At Sea

Throughout the final day at sea, Coral Princess navigated various north-easterly headings. During the early hours of the morning, Coral Princess passed abeam of Cabo San Antonio, the most westerly point of Cuba, a constant distance was then maintained off the coast for the remainder of the morning. Throughout the afternoon, coral Princess experienced the effect of the favorable Florida Current, increasing the ship's speed by nearly 3 knots. During the evening we maintained a northerly course following the Florida coastline on our port side.

April 21th, Port Everglades, Florida, USA

During the early hours of the morning, Coral Princess navigated through the Straights of Florida, passing Miami to port. Shortly after 0500 a westerly heading was set and the local pilot boarded. With the aid of the pilot's local knowledge and the leading lights, the Captain navigated the ship through the narrow entrance to the harbor and then maneuvered the vessel alongside the berth.

Many thanks to our two Captains, Philip Pickford and Giorgio Pomata and their Officers: Nicolo Binetti, Andrew Armstrong, Paolo Della Monaca, Andrea Catalano, Fergal Sargent, Rebecca Flint and Paul Britton for safely navigating a total distance of 3,050 nautical miles.
